      It’s even worse: Popular subreddits like /r/games have a “at most 10% self promotion” rule, so 10% of your posts can be self-promotion. So I thought: Hey, my account is 14 years old or so, over 100k karma, I’ll make a post about my game.

      Got instantly taken down, they counted every single patch note post in my own subreddit to the rule. And then I noticed whenever I posted the direct iOS App Store link my post instantly got filtered, even in my own subreddit! The mods heavily pushed me towards buying Reddit ads.
