You’re absolutely right that I kept waiting for John’s mother to die. I mean I don’t think this show is going to have a child shoot his mother in the face… But I didn’t know for sure.
It’s HBO, so I totally thought she was going to die, but it’s also refreshing seeing a character’s parents still alive (even if they are crazy). It tends to be the motivating factor of many people.
