I disagree. Solving a problem is the fix. That releases endorphins. Completing a task doesn’t do it. It has to be a solution to a problem.
I’ve never talked to a man that spoke of providing or failure in the context you’re speaking of. Not to say they don’t exist, but I’ve never encountered a person that felt that way.
