I haven’t had the time to watch any on-track action yet. What’s the problem with it? It seemed like a high-speed track to me, so I thought there would be a lot of overtaking and yoyo-ing.

We might get battery yo-yo in F1, yes. However in terms of traditional racing there is pretty much literally zero natural overtaking spots. No straights, no high speeds into a hard braking zone and every single breaking zone in general is angled which makes overtaking pretty much impossible.

This was the most boring race of the season in F2, significantly worse than Monaco.

That doesn’t sound good. Thanks for the explanation. I can’t take another Monaco on the calendar. I guess, let’s hope you’re wrong?

There’s also a really narrow bit around a chicane that kills what otherwise could have been an overtaking spot, because you literally can’t fit two cars abreast.

This is way worse imo, because Monaco is at least gorgeous and historic. You can take in the surroundings, the mountains and the sea. It’s a parade, yes, but it has some “aura”. Also, Monaco has rain somewhat frequently.

But yeah, let’s hope I’m wrong.
