Desperate pleas for air cover from Yemeni generals started coming mid-morning on Thursday. As the Houthis advanced, backup support from Saudi Arabia was nowhere in sight.
True, but it’s less competent bombing, and in any case American military operations are orders of magnitude deadlier when they succeed than when they fail so I’ll take the incompetent top brass. Case in point: The Saudi-led US-backed intervention in the Yemeni Civil war produced deaths a full order of magnitude more than anything that’s happened in Iran so far, and don’t get me talking about the War on Terror.
Well that’s the story anyway, but competent America’s track record isn’t exactly sparkling clean here. Also like I said the results of American success are usually much worse (in this case it’d turn Iran into another Iraq) so in the long term it’s better to have incompetent leaders in charge.
In case you haven’t noticed, we’ve done a lot more bombing of civilians since the top brass got chased out. These things are connected.

That’s not better. Incompetent bombing is how we hit that girls’ school.
