It beeps when you press the button.
It beeps when you place it on the base.
But today, it beeps no more.
I classify this as a repair.

I wish my kettle beeped when it was done.
But I totally understand wanting to make something quiet. I helped someone remove a speaker from a dishwasher because it would play a litle tune when it was done.
Was it a Samsung?
I think it was a Bosch.
