Holy shit none of this has anything to do with donating to Palestinian causes. This is just a blanket statement that you think allows you to say and do bigoted things. You think a rich person of color has less power and privilege than I do?

Are you a wealthy white celebrity?

Okay, so you weren’t talking about me. You are saying the white wealthy celebrities are not allowed to “respond to” wealthy celebrities of color, is that correct?

You asked if I thought a rich person of color has less power and privilege than you do. Since the topic is Ms Rachel calling for wealthy white celebrities to match her donation, I asked if you were one.

Because yes, wealthy white celebrities generally have more power and privilege than rich people of color.

And so therefore, Ms Rachel needs to qualify her statement so that only white wealthy celebrities should match her donation to Palestine? Is that correct?

Inviting wealthy white celebrities to match her donation does not mean that only wealthy white celebrities can donate.

You’re taking my question out of context. I asked if Ms Rachel wrote that because, as an advantaged person, she needs to qualify her statement to only include white people. Obviously anybody can donate to Palestinian causes. I’m asking if she needs to direct her statement to only white people because of her advantage.

I will leave it at this: She expressed herself poorly, and she does a disservice to both causes because of it.
