Does not react to a magnet. Does not show any signs of rust. Bent slightly.

Looks almost like a mechanism from inside a click pen, but those normally don’t have a stepped stabby end, nor need to be made out of metal.

SOLVED: Stud earring. Gem goes on the the star end, second retaining piece goes on the stabby end. Thankyou.
