Disney+ has updated its subscriber agreement to allow advertising before and after movies and shows across every subscription tier. The change quietly ends completely ad-free streaming on the platform, even for those paying top dollar.

That includes the Premium plan, which costs $18.99 a month and was originally sold on the promise of an uninterrupted viewing experience.

Subscribers now face an on-screen prompt when logging in, requiring them to actively accept the updated terms before they can keep watching.

I’ve been holding out a long time. I will pay what it takes to access content I want to see and avoid ads. I want money to make it to the artists. But if there is no option to avoid ads, then I will not pay for your service anymore. I would imagine many others feel the same way. Seems like a very foolish decision.

I am beyond that. I just quit being a consumer all together. There is plenty of things that I can give attention to anyways. For free, with no pirating involved.

Controversial opinion, a lot of those artists are already paid when it comes to TV. Fuck that, in my opinion.
