There are many haters, indeed, or just infant, indifferent, disrespectful people who express their thoughts online venting on some project, or someone else but not them.
Yet, have you actually had issues yourself with it GnuPG, PGP? For how long, if any? Were your reports solved? How fast?
Are proposed solutions perfect, those proposed by the blog author (who is unknown by some umbrella name of some random organization)? Wormhole, Signal etc.?

Got commits can be signed with ssh keys nowadays. Files can be encrypted with age.
Don’t encrypt email, it’s a waste of time.
