I have AI as much as the next guy, but this is a drawing from 1929 by an artist named Angelo Finelli. The caption translates to: “Bologna at the time Dante stayed there”

Edit, Dammit! Hate, not have. I hate AI. Friggin’ V is no where near the T. What the hell.

Except that your statement becomes incrementally more false every day.

Sure, it’s still mostly true. Likely in the 80% range, at most. But give it another year or two of additional AI improvements, and it won’t be anymore.

Hell, even now I’ve had to start filtering videos more on the content’s behaviour - whether it is realistic or not - than any AI oopsies like sudden changes in the background.

Sounds like there will always be things you don’t immediately understand and falsely attribute to AI.

You’re holding a mirror up and seeing your own reflection, there.

I work in the IT industry. I am embedded into this bullshit quite deeply. I know what to look for and can see just how pervasive it’s getting.

You thought a picture of a model was an AI interpretation of a photo from the middle ages.

              So I doubt that whole-heartedly.

I can believe its amped your paranoia though.

What TF are you smoking? I never said anything of the kind.

Next time, compare the usernames of the commenters instead of making wild, unsupported accusations.

I can’t tell if dropped a /s or you actually think it’s meant to be passed off as a real medieval picture 😅

I think someone said it’s a picture of a model city made to represent what it looked like. Not sure how true that is or if it’s AI. The buildings look cartoonish though so I’m inclined to believe it’s really a model city.

In my eyes, it’s clearly a clay (or similar material) model of a city. Some of the towers taper through the middle as if they’d been sqished into shape by hand, windows and other features don’t maintain a constant shape/size when in rows, and in the modern day image you can make out individual bricks in the tower while in the b/w one everything is completely smooth.

To my old-ass eyes I thought it was an old picture of a painting… Looking closer I could totally see it being an old picture of a model too.

Without source it’s safe to assume it’s AI until proven otherwise
