The man being looked at and surrounded by police is the murderer of Lauren Giddings. She was a Georgia law student who disappeared June 26th, 2011. This shitbag is her murderer. He was originally giving a news interview about how she was gone and people loved her, only to be informed that police were starting to locate the remains of Lauren Giddings.
He proceeds to shut down before freaking out in the interview. He was brought in for questioning where he said pretty much nothing for 12 hours. He was also a law student at the same university, so he knew better.
What the picture got wrong was he didn’t win at all. It was still obvious as can be he did it based on the evidence and what was found. After a little bit more investigation they had him dead to rights. He is currently serving a life sentence.
