Not too long after I replaced the fan, another part decided to fail. I thought it was the pump at first but after replacing that and it still not working, I was pretty stumped.
I did some YouTube research and found out that the moter that drives the basket to dump the ice out and store the water inside uses two limit switches. The one pictured is the one that’s busted.
I forgot to take a photo of it after fixing everything up (was honestly very excited to have figured it out and fix it again) but after replacing the switch, it started making ice again!
Cost me about $20 total, 14 for the pump and 6 for some limit switches which I could’ve gotten cheaper but wanted the faster shipping to get this done. Happy GF, happy me.

How long did it take you? Did you need to empty the fridge and defrost it first or were you able to leave it running?
I have an ice maker problem I need to fix too, but I haven’t dived into troubleshooting it yet.
This is a countertop ice maker so would likely be different if yours is in your fridge.
