His input clearly wasn’t very effective. The US is basically an openly fascist state at this point, and the only “friends” it acknowledges are Russia and North Korea - so the whole “don’t bother voting” advice seems to be working exactly as well as expected.
I’m discussing the quote as quoted, that’s all. There’s no nuance there - just “don’t bother voting or you’re a class traitor.” It’s absolutely terrible advice.
Have you not been watching the US’s behavior over the past few years? Almost every action the US takes these days is basically a gift to the Kremlin. I’m not saying Trump is a Russian asset, but he sure does behave like one.
I mean… your president keeps trying to get Ukraine to surrender it’s territory to Russia. That’s a pretty nice thing to do for a friend. Meanwhile he calls European countries and Canada “Nasty.” Not generally something one says about their friends.
Also… this happened a few days ago:
United States President Donald Trump has described North Korean leader Kim Jong Un as “a friend” and played down concerns about Pyongyang’s nuclear arsenal, saying, “as long as I’m around, he’s going to be fine”.
Trump made the remarks in Washington, DC, on Tuesday after a reporter asked him why North Korea could have nuclear weapons but Iran could not.
I’m not American, lol!
Considering how the US was leading the labor movement in the West during his lifetime, it’s still a problem that you don’t know who he is.

There’s no conversation to be had here if you refuse to be informed about his life and works while commenting on it.
I’m not commenting on his life or work. I commented on the shitty advice to “dont vote or you’re a class traitor.”
You literally did. You’re attempting to take his life and work out of context to discuss one quote of his opinion on the matter.

That’s my point. You simply cannot understand this quote from him without understanding him.
deeply unserious
Show me all the evidence you needed to ignore to get to “usa is friends with russia”
