This seems like wishful thinking, everything has enshitified. Right off the bat Snickers have gone from 2oz to 1.85oz since the 90s and that’s before we even start talking about what every manufacturer has done to chocolate in the last 30 years.
The WWII thing is mostly a myth. For the most part it’s because they keep replacing the cocoa butter with lesser fats creating a “chocolate compound”, rather than actual chocolate, of diminishing quality.
