The one anecdote that I feel like tells you all you need to know is that Steve Jobs promised early engineers stock, then changed his mind and gave them nothing, and Steve Wozniak gave them $10 million of his own personal stock because he felt that it was the right thing to do. Wozniak, hilariously enough, pointed out, “And $10M was a lot in that time.”
