Where are the best places to make new friends who happen to be in the community? I don’t really have any non-straight friends, and there no gay bar/clubs,/etc in this area at all, as I live in the south. My whole life, I’ve felt like an outsider living on an island. I’m 34, so it feels like I wasted my opportunities. I always hear stuff like, it being impossible to make connections after 30…is that just nonsense, or is it really like that?
Also Id recommend you avoid online events. Not a single oerson I met from those online meetup events has remained in contact with me.
