I still cannot believe all 3 movies were not planned out. What were they possibly thinking?

I mean it appears they were thinking they JJ Abrams would introduce some mystery box intrigue with a soft reboot and the rest would just fall into place.

But… idk I just… I don’t get it. Imagine you were just put in charge of the next star wars trilogy. Wouldn’t you like… Plan it out? Throw some ideas to the wall and work out a trilogy before committing to it?

Great effects, solid characters, and just… All over the place from there on out.
