    Room temperature water? No washing powder? I’m not familiar with underarmour but it sounds like you’re just rinsing it instead of washing it.

    Fwiw I wash mine at 60°C, as it kills the bacteria.

      Washing powder is just dry laundry detergent.

      Any detergent/soap should theoretically kill bacteria even using cold water. It destroys the cell membrane.

      Washing at 60° C is only really required for people with a compromised immune system or in a household with certain infectuous diseases, which may spread through clothing or other textiles. The bacteria on clothing are not usually pathogenic to the degree that a 60° C wash is necessary. For whites, bleaching is also an alternative.
