My brother-in-law made me a coffee snob. So, he surprised me with this Lavazza Espresso. I honestly thought it would taste like “Welcome Centre” coffee, but it was not bad. Sweet, oily, and quite easy to enjoy. But, it’s just one of those things where I would only buy it if there were not many other choices.

Pointless fun fact with name drop, cause I am the main character right now, the cappuccino cup I am using came as a set, that was a gift from retired NBA player Danillo Gallinari. They were two, one fell and broke when I was in Texas. I have it in a box and will super glue it together some day. Also included were two espresso cups that I’ve never used.

When i first got my budget espresso machine i bounced around different espresso brands until i found LavAzza. Absolutely loved it the first time i tried it, bought it for a few years, and only stopped getting it because my retailer source was Amazon and i wanted to stop buying stuff from there. I switched to Redbird, which is also amazing (better imo, but thats just me), but still ocassionally get LavAzza if i spot it in store while im out running errands.

Do you usually stick to one brand or do you mix it up?

For a while id grab whatever didnt taste bitter, but lately ive been sticking to my local grocery store brand of whole beans for coffee and redbird for espresso when i feel like dealing with the machine. Ill try new stuff when i notice it, but usually end up back to my go-to brands.
