It wasn’t for the news, it was mostly for aviation. So I’d compile their take off and landing weather with a brief overview of the flight path weather, any areas of upper level ice or turbulence and the Go/No Go parameters of all of that.

Job also included ground forecasts and watches/warnings for ground personnel. And every week or so there would also be a need for a forecast for a convoy driving out to repair something elsewhere.

Super cool job. I miss it all the time.
