    I guess it needs a sort of “onboarding” the first time you open the app.

      It might be more intutitive if:

      • changing the text in the field to “Search…” or “Tap to Search”
      • perhaps using the magnifier icon
      • or outlining the field so that you can see that it’s an input box.
