Well, I don’t know about that “no bad publicity” thing… I get what you mean, and I’ve heard it said before, but I suppose it is subjective. I know that I’d never patronize any business that used a Deplorean to advertise. In fact I’d steer well clear of them and advise others to do the same, as well as actively avoid individuals who own them. MAGA went all in on them, as part of their identity and fealty to Trump and Musk, so that says a lot. The people who desire “negative attention” are not the sort of people I’d want to associate with either, whether for publicity or other reasons.

They’ve got reflective sunglasses, graying beards, and they rant fascist shit into their phones from inside their cybertrucks in walmart parking lots.
Around me, it’s mostly businesses wrapping the trucks with logos because they attract attention. There is no bad publicity.
