I’m getting really tired of “verify you’re not a bot” checks everywhere.

I understand these checks help prevent bots, but they seem to appear on so many websites now. Does anyone else find them frustrating?

Something in your setup is triggering them. Some ad blocker, tracking blocker, or VPN you use is making these sites worry you’re malicious. Not saying you have to turn that all off, but it’s likely some piece of your setup might be a bit excessive and you can do without that setting or piece of it.

Additionally a lot of sites that use cloudflare, as above have a more aggressive stance on to captcha all users, even transparently, so yeah if you’re seeing the manual like “veryif you’re human” prompt your request is probably tagged as suspect, but the intermediary automated “verifying you’re human” will pop up for everyone

I am not turning off my fucking adblocker, which is the only thing from that list that I use.

I wouldn’t be surprised if even using Firefox triggers it or something stupid like that.

Not what I was suggesting. Ad blockers are complex and you may be able to turn some piece off to avoid excessive bot checks without any noticeable difference. Ublock origin especially has about a million little bits you can turn on or off individually. Some people add a bunch of third party lists to theirs without understanding what they are even blocking.

The same with tracking blockers, there are degrees and the more extreme they are the more you have to deal with the kind of tests OP is complaining about.

I still use the default settings on uBlock Origin.

I’m not going to waste my time fiddling with shit, which is likely to need changing again and again, because of those fucking bots ruining the internet being increasingly more predatory.

I really don’t get why you’re so upset at me explaining why OP is experiencing these issues.

They’re not blaming anyone, that’s what you’re failing to understand.

This is the reality of why it’s happening. The choice is to put up with it or try to do something about it.

Strong “What were you wearing?” vibes.

I use default uBlock Origin, no VPN, nothing else. I get those annoying bot verification loading things ALL THE FUCKING TIME on my home PC and at work and on my mobile phone. I know it is a response to bots scraping everything maliciously. I am doing the bare minimum.

Being told “The user probably did something to their security they could just change” when I’m doing the bare minimum is being told it is probably something I did and not the fact that the whole mess created bots is the problem and being annoying by all this verification shit is somehow my fault.

                  Fuck that.

Excuse the fuck out of me? Comparing this discussion in ANY fucking way to rape is completely off the fucking charts.

                    Jesus Christ.

I’m blocking you and you can absolutely fuck ALL the way off, you fucking regressive piece of shit.

Have fun rotting in your self-absorbed refusal to understand basic fucking language.
