What’s the mobile app for this site? “Jerboa for Lemmy” and using aussie.zone for the server? I’m trying to hook up some old DT members. Is it the same on apple phones?

I was using Jerboa but have decided that using the site from my phone’s browser is a better experience for the time being. The Dev needs to work on it, or someone does, but he said he doesn’t have time.

I am now of this opinion too…I hadn’t used the browser version on my phone, but now after your comment, I have and, yes, it’s way better than Jerboa. Which is unfortunate, because I like using 3rd party apps for things.

Lemmy as a whole is still very much a work in progress.

I’m surprised that there’s a functional app in the first place, considering.

Jerboa isn’t too bad once you get used to it’s quirks imo. But I wasn’t able to figure out how to sign in with Aussie.zone so I ended up creating a sh.itjust.works account and I use that instead

I signed up at sh.itjust.works first and could not get the aussie.zone to show on it, so created another account here. I didn’t realise I could re-use the same user name, so ended up with a new identity too.

Ah, so that’s why you’re a raven? And yeah, searching for communities on other instances is a little tricky. If you still want to know how, you need to type “![community]@[instance]”. So This Melbourne community is “[email protected]”, but it doesn’t seem to work on jerboa so you have to subscribe in the browser

For android you’re correct, but I’m with @bull in that I prefer the browser version (for use on my phone) as it currently is

I believe Apple phones have a different app (it might be called mlem?).

Jerboa is Android only for the time being.
