I was wondering if anybody knows of a place I can ask people about optimizing Retroarch cores on Switchroot for specific games. This is mainly for N64 as GBA, SNES GB and NES all seem to work without a hitch.

You are allowed to ask here actually. What we don’t allow is sharing links to places or instructions on how to download ROMs themselves, but emulation is okay to discuss.
This is mostly for legal and not ethics reasons. Emulation is legal while piracy isn’t. The rest of that conversation is up to each individual here to determine.
