Sometimes I am able to copy text for quoting, sometimes it does not work.

Using the Android app, latest release.

How are you doing it?

Can you use the method of opening the “all apps” screen on your phone and then holding to copy the text that way?

That’s usually what I do for other apps that don’t support text selection.

No idea what you are talking about.

I am talking about the thunder app here.

If you can’t get the text to copy in the app, you can open the all apps screen and then copy text from that as a workaround.

Ok, but what is an all apps screen and where do they sell it?

It’s when you swipe up from bottom of screen on Apple (and Android if you’ve set it up to use gestures), or when you tap the App Overview button on default Android (App Overview is usually the leftmost of three navigation buttons at the bottom of the screen).

I didn’t know this popup view existed, but here’s how to trigger it: https://www.t-mobile.com/support/tutorials/device/samsung/galaxy-s10-plus/topic/settings/how-to-run-apps-in-a-pop-up-view

For what it’s worth, I can’t get copying text to work in it on Thunder.

I’ve just looked it up and I think it might be a Pixel-only feature. I thought it was available on all Android phones.

So yeah, ignore my advice. Sorry! 😂

Thanks. I know now that he probably meant the view with the recent apps, and I can open the thunder app in a popup view.

              It doesn’t help though :-)
