Im going to make an assumption that you’ve never tried a bad and good trigger before, apologies if I’m wrong.

Will the worst milspec trigger work? Sure. If you want something that’s going to improve your accuracy and speed, a better trigger can do that. So even if you only think guns should ever be fired to save your life, accuracy and speed are something you want.

But I disagree guns are only for self defense. Competition shooting is a perfectly valid reason to build a high end gun, its even an Olympic sport. Hunting needs accuracy too. If you practice your marksmenship at a range frequently, you going to appreciate a nice trigger.
