Is there a way to filter or block communities? Can’t browse by new at all because kbin’s “random” is filled with spam bots and I’d rather not block entire kbin due to it.

Click the community you want to block to go to its homepage. You should see a link to Block Community.
Thanks! I actually mixed community and instance in my head and thought that that would block the entire instance.
