Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell appeared to freeze again Wednesday, this time during a gaggle with reporters in Covington, Kentucky, stopping for more than 30 seconds after he was asked if he would run for re-election.

The Kentucky Republican froze in July at a news conference on Capitol Hill, going silent for 19 seconds before being escorted away from the cameras. McConnell, 81, returned shortly afterward and continued his news conference, telling reporters, “I’m fine.”

When it became apparent that McConnell had frozen again on Wednesday, an aide came up to him and asked, “Did you hear the question, senator?” McConnell continued to be unresponsive.

I’m fine with Bernie being forced to retire. he seems sharp, but if we’re going to have an age limit it has to be universal just like age minimums.

See that’s the problem hypocrisy. Why would you want an old dinosaur running the country so long as it’s your dinosaur? Bernie is garbage. He’s all talk, no follow through. He’s ineffective, useless and can’t even get the support of his own party, so how the hell would he run a country?

Get these old fucks out of politics. Every old fuck. Even the left leaning old fucks.

We’re talking about age limits and old people in politics and you know it.

I’d gladly see McConnell and Feinstein go. Sanders seems like he’s still functional and at least trying to keep up with the times.

There are decent octogenarians, same as there are hard-working zoomers. :)

          Another just full-on dumb take.

Have you heard of things called experience and wisdom?

Bernie is an independent. The long serving third party Senator in history.

Who has gotten next to nothing done in all his decades, and can’t even bring his own side together. If you can’t even gain the popularity of your own party, it doesn’t matter how progressive and correct your views are if you can’t get anything done. Bernie is a failure, find someone new please for the love of god

Americans are so centrist that liberals think anyone who disagrees with them is a neoliberal or conservative. You guys have no idea what true liberalism is, Bernie Sanders is a sad American impression of what that is. But again, so far up your own conservative asses (even the Democrats are conservatives in the u.s) that you call me a neolib, without thinking that maybe you’re the one who isn’t going far enough to the left.

I would love to see Sanders replaced, but there’s literally nobody to do so of any age. He’s practically the only member of the DNC that’s actually left of center anymore. The DNC has become the centrist party as they keep inching further right to match the GOP marching ever further to the right. The DNC is dangerously close to being completely out of progressives.
