Not like Cuba is a free country… It’s not even close to it. You say that it’s horrible what the US imperalists are doing but do you not look at the atrocities that the Cuban regmie is commiting?

I once defined myself as a communist… But I woke up one day and took looked at the facts. US and the west is by no way perfect. But at least they are able to speak freely without the risk of oppression. Capitalism is by far not the greatest system, but it’s the best we got. Communism just don’t work.

You can say you wish the Cuban all tje best in the struggle, but when you point towards the oppressors you are just talking to deaf ears. Yes some people in Cuba think it’s OK but I would not more than a minority of the people support the regime.

Was the goverment that was thrown out by Che and Castro great? By no means. And I totally support them outing him. But they should have moved to democracy or at least something closer to this. It’s their own fault that they are still being boycotted by the west.

I find it funny just how much bs I see here tbh. It’s okay to be a communist but don’t for one second think you are not going to get critique.

anytime someone says “I used to be a communist” then defends capitalism, 9 times out of 10 they were a larper who never actually read substantive theory and was just angry at certain aspects of the capitalist system… which their privileges overcame, thus pushing them back to the right without ever actually learning anything.

This person claims to’ve “woke[n] up … [to] look at the facts” but really they turned on MSNBC and turned off their brain.

no, you did not look at the facts. Basic history teaches us that the US has always been aggressing and sabotaging Cuba for not wanting to be a glorified sugar colony anymore. Official Documents show that the reason the US has put the embargo on cuba was to specifically starve the people, to impoverish the lands for the possiblitiy of a counter-revolution and before you say “uh well cuz cuba has soviet missiles therefore the people should starve” The US had missiles in Italy and Turkey before. The US bombs countries around the world in the name of “democracy” establishes business-friendly dictatorships in south-america and intervenes in elections meanwhile cuba sends Doctors around the world to countries who lack medical personal but somehow Cuba is the “threat” and needs to be starved down in order to obey to its grand-master again. You cannot call Cuba undemocratic because Fidel and the revolutionairies had majority support from the people with people to this day democratically voting for policies for example the cuban family code in which 66 percent of the people voted for the legalization of same-sex-marriage and other making cuba one of the most progressive latin american countries. I guess you can argue “b-but atleast we are not ruled by a one party system” while the truth being, yes you are: both the democrats and republicans are two sides of the same coin and that is the capitalist coin, they both bomb children in the middle-east and have and are always going to take profits before people. At the core these two parties are just there to make it seem like you have a choice under this dictatorship of the bourgeois. https://history.state.gov/historicaldocuments/frus1958-60v06/d499 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_Cuban_Family_Code_referendum https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=when+did+the+us+put+missiles+in+turkey https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=when+did+ussr+put+missiles+in+cuba

You didn’t provide anything but generalizations. These are meaningless platitudes. Do you really think you can change people’s minds with this?
