If anyone other than the police did that, theyd be in prison not just fired. It is staggering how much cops get away with even in the rare instances when what they did leads to some semblance of consequences. i.e slap on the wrist
They’re just one big gang. Once you’re sworn in, youre “family” and will be protected by the very powerful police unions. We desperately need reform. Or at the minimum, they should require a bachelor’s to reduce the amount of people who’re in it for the power trip.
It seems like a lot of other countries have less of an issue with this than the US does… How do you reprogram an entire culture to be less tolerant of this shit?
