I haven’t played many (any) mech games and just watched the trailer for AC6. WTF - that looks awesome! How do most people play - kb+m or some kind of controller setup? Also, and I’m probably just asking how fast I can throw up, can this be played / is there a mode for VR?

I play with controller, personally. To me, with this game in particular, it feels really immersive! I imagine the pilots have a dual flight stick setup, and that their controls are actually quite similar to our own. Plus I love the vibration for the same reason, everything just feels perfect.
Gameplay-wise, I personally feel more comfortable with the movement on the left stick than with WASD. And with with the way aiming works, it’s extremely rare for the right stick to ever be a limiting factor. The mech pretty much knows what I want to shoot lol.
That all being said, I have toyed around with the mouse and keyboard controls, and they’re really good too! In particular I like how you have easy access to both movement and aiming at the same time, whereas on controller you have to take your thumb off the right stick (or do a claw grip) to access ascend and quick boost.
I don’t think you can really go too wrong here, as long as you’re comfortable with your setup. Both feel really good
