    I don’t drive, but i have a licence. It’s nearly the only thing people accept for ID these days.

      By design. The 'landed gentry ’ has been replaced by ‘those that can prove they got enough money to have their vote count’

      I have a state issued non driver Real ID. I guess if you’re outside the US there may be different ID laws, but the Real ID works for everything, including flying.

      In the US, you can get a non license ID with the same requirements (sans driving related crap) and is good for everything as normal.

      Of course, they don’t talk about it much because they need everyone to be forced into car culture at all costs.
