I think that’s a big reason for Havertz’s slowish start — it’s a difficult role to play for someone who hasn’t really been playing in midfield for a few seasons now. We may have to be a little patient with him. Also, ESR and Vieira would be more familiar so we could let Havertz get used to it while he rotates with them.
Who would’ve thought that our attack would lose it’s fluidity because of the lack of Xhaka of all people, a former CDM.
