What idiocy. Delta-8 is naturally found in cannabis AND hemp. D8, D9, D10, all naturally occurring. Even HHC is just hydrogenated THC, same with THC-O being oxygenated. It’s all parts of a whole, but because it can be split up by molecule name it suddenly seems scary and artificial.
There is no need to worry if you simply educate yourself on what is present in the plants during cultivation… that’s why the industry needs more regulation and FDA approval, so we can keep the Delta-8 in it and keep synthetic “THC-X” out.
At this point I don’t think it even has to do with anyone thinking it’s dangerous. I think it has everything to do with money changing hands to make sure nothing takes away from those precious alcohol sales. There’s big money involved in making sure kids aren’t lured into using “dangerous” THC products, meanwhile MeeMaws Olde Fashioned Peach Cobbler Moonshine and Party Time Gummie Bear Vodka remain prominently displayed in every corner store…
