I don’t know why you’re being downvoted. It’s entirely true. Andrettis IndyCar operation is a mess. If they operate in F1 like they do in Indy then I’d be surprised if the whole operation didn’t fold in 10 years.
IMSA and F-E are vastly different series than F1. They aren’t a constructor. The best outcome I see happening is they take a Haas-like relationship with Alpine and are perpetual backmarkers.
I can be proven wrong for sure, but I’ve seen nothing to suggest they’d be remotely successful in F1.
IMO anyone should be able to register and attempt to qualify for a race (proven that the car meets the 107% rule), but wouldn’t qualify for TV money until their second season. A dedicated team with resources could still join, but it’d also make them prove they bring value. This solution isn’t ideal, but I’m not sure what other options really exist.
