Chinese electric vehicles pose "a real threat" to the European car industry, but the continent's automakers are aware of the competition.

  • Around 40% of the presenters at the IAA Mobility Conference in Munich are from Asia, while the number of Chinese companies in attendance has more than doubled compared to last year.

  • “I don’t think we are still at the stage where they underestimate the Chinese,” Kames said.

    I disagree with the title. The worst enemy of European car manufacturers are European car manufacturers.

    They spend loads of money on political bribery to “make that e-car thingy go away”, and now they are the ones behind the field.
