I rescued this little guy around 3 weeks ago. I never took care of a kitten before, but fortunately he’s been making amazing progress. He’s almost fully weaned at this point.

Shoutout to user Joshua Nozzi from my previous post, who urged me to see a vet. If I went any later he may wouldn’t have made it.

Wow, that’s a beauty right there! I can relate to the chewing part. Mine has found a particular interest in chewing on my fingers, which has gradually become more painful the more teeth he got…

Take care with the chewing fingers part, one of the cats I adopted from animal rescue is around 2 years old now (actual birthday is unknown) and he still loves to chew on my fingers and nibble on my chin to show his affection. I doubt he’ll ever grow out of it but I did at least manage to teach him to be more gentle with immediate responses of “ouch” and pulling my fingers away whenever he got too carried away and started applying too much pressure. I also immediately scratched his ears after (he loves that) with my other hand to show that I’m not angry at him. Eventually he made the connection that too much nibble-pressure is bad.

Also thanks a ton for the update, I was wondering wether the little guy made it a couple of days ago. This really made my week. :)

Aww thank you for thinking about him <3 This is extremely valuable advice. I’ve been wondering how to teach him in that regard. Will definitely try it out!

I find if you “overreact” a little when they bite a bit too hard, they usually get the hint pretty quick. Beezly the kitten has pretty much figured it out now, although she still thinks climbing my leg as if it’s a tree trunk is the greatest thing ever, especially when I’m trying to get her food ready. She tends to forget manners when she get excited in the least bit.
