Greenworks makes hundreds of indoor and outdoor power tools that run on swappable battery packs. Now the company is using those same batteries to power a new e-mobility range that will include ebikes, an electric UV and an e-minibike.
I’ve been saying that standardization is something that the industry needs to move toward to increase quality, lower costs and make repairs easier.
Well if the ebike/scooter industry at large doesn’t do it, then it would be very interesting to see if one company which has its hands in many different industries way outside just mobility is able to standardize its components. If I didn’t have an ebike already, I’d take a serious look at what Greenworks offers. Imagine having the same battery that you ride on one day, you then use to mow your lawn or use in your leaf blower, etc.
