Mac Miller was good, especially his newer stuff. I like Aesop Rock but that’s not my usual go-to soundscape. I also have a white work friend who raps who actually makes great hip hop music. But 99% of the time you are absolutely right.
I agree with all that, but I gotta add Macklemore and Ryan Lewis have some great stuff. GEMENI and BEN were trash, but before that there was some decent (anti-capitalist) stuff.
True, obv it’s not gatekept by the prerequisite that you have to a better rapper than Eminem if you’re white, but Lil Dicky and Vanilla Ice really made me skeptical of white rappers for years and years to come.

Macklemore is lowkey pretty wholesome, although he tries too hard sometimes, bless his heart

I like that he does R&B inspired stuff too, I appreciate that he was able fo separate himself from other types of rappers, he has a cool style.
