Not every public hospital has it and if it’s underfunded, that’s usually one of the first equipments to stop working, because that maintenance money will pay for higher priority materials.
So chances are she actually didn’t lie and I invested into her health? If she doesn’t lie she might actually like me. And maybe even not only because I’m bankrolling that medical bill 😀
