My partner has a Turkish Angora cat (white and super fluffy) who’s going to the vet today because he’s been lethargic and super poopy over the weekend. The amount of times we’ve had to clean poop off him, the floor, ourselves, is wild. We were doing it with two people though so it was okay. Today I’m solo and he just tore my palm to shreds while I was trying to clean his butt for the second time today. Okay, dude, keep your nasty butt, I’m done.

Don’t you just wish they understood “I’m trying to help you!!!” Silly animals. Hope he’s okay though! And your palm heals quickly!

I know 😩 He wanders off completely fine but when I’m trying to help he just hisses and bites and scratches. Hopefully the vet can help him and maybe help us get him cleaned up.

Thanks, boo :) Not here too much, got a lot going on, but it’s nice to see familiar ‘faces’ again.

If he’s had some poop issues, perhaps the butt area is a bit irritated or sensitive, so maybe getting it cleaned is a bit painful for poor kitty. And of course there’s the indignity. Hopefully vet can help!

Yeah, poor little guy has a sore butt. The vet shaved it for us which was a huge help. Thankfully he seems to be on the mend, eating and drinking etc. properly.

I think @taleya once recommended putting the cat facing backwards under your arm, then propping up their back legs on a pile of books and then quickly shaving the cat’s butt before they wriggle free. Might work for cleaning the cat’s butt too.
