Why am I getting an error when I attempt to subscribe to an outside community?

This is hosted on lemmy.world, but when I hit the subscribe button, I get an error.

    I am stuck in “Subscribe Pending” status when tryin to sub a community in another instance. I read this is something acknowledge by the developers, so probably for your issue is the same: we need to wait.

      I am currently pending subscription to this magazine from Lemmy.world. Doesn’t matter though, since I found this post in my feed anyway
