Its a malignant form of privilege to pretend to be able to ignore politics. It’s either that or they are just a little dim and don’t feel they can keep up in a conversation.
So? I didn’t do that in an attempt to start a discussion about politics, but to illustrate that that is exactly what other people do - in places where it is completely uncalled for.
I am wary of people using an unspecified “politics tho” like this. More than once the “”“PoLiTiCs”“” they meant were LGBTQIA+ people simply existing.
Honestly I never got why LGBT+ is even a political thing. It’s just basic human rights. But probably my opinion will be seen as politics by some.
