It works well with those hovering giant platforms for example - they kind of self-align, so it doesn’t matter much where the balloon is attached and you have plenty of room even for multiple balloons. You would need to go out of your way to topple these things over.
Otherwise, you can use “Rewind” for temporary stability. Since you’re rising slowly anyway with this setup, the height loss from using Rewind isn’t that much ;)
I’ve never been able to pull out any devices while in the air on anything besides those hovering giant platforms.

I always forget about Recall until it’s too late to be useful. Every time my hover bike goes over a cliff.
