      Uhh. Speaking as a married non-boomer (in between genx and millennial) the interpersonal faux underlying the joke is spot on. Not sure why you are limiting it to “boomers.”

        Beacuase, like it or not, that’s where a lot of these types of comics strips originated, or at least grew into their most recent popularity. If you don’t resonate with it, great. A generation isn’t a monolith. But that also means that it, as a name, isn’t referring to you.

            I don’t know what you want me to tell you, as I’ve already explained, it’s just the name for the genre of comics/style of humor that this represents. I’m not the one to take it up with. Go fight culture at large.
