Family-owned Texas retailer to close final 2 stores after 78-year run

The retailer, which was founded by its namesake in 1945, is working with Planned Furniture Promotions to wrap up its business.

The store on Anderson was definitely a fixture in my daily scenery at one point. Never went in though.

      True true, but Louis Shanks never went in for those gimmicks. They are really gone.
