And the idea of 2 weeks to flatten the curve was based on predictions of how it was spreading (which as someone that has done actual research projects on disease transmission is incredibly complicated, to the point we had to rent several hours on a super computer to get out model of a couple million nodes to run) and because it was a prediction, its susceptible to being wrong. And anyone with an iota of intelligence is not afraid of being wrong and changing their advice as our models update.
