A lot of people seem to feel that TotK is so much better than BotW, in so many ways, that playing BotW any more would feel almost pointless.

While I can understand that, TotK is truly amazing in almost every way, I find myself missing BotW.

I miss that desolate feeling, the Guardian induced anxiety, and the difficulty of a lot of BotW that I feel is missing from TotK.

BotW and TotK are the 2 sides of a single coin, neither complete without the other.

I’m already looking forward to another playthrough of both games! (only 68% so far on TotK still!)

ToTK is just better in every way IMO (and also perhaps the best game of all time).

Especially the boss fights - they’re a bit shorter and easier for the most part but much more varied and less frustrating (Water Temple notwithstanding).

I also love how the combat is so tactical too - even if constructions are a bit OP. Like the weapon degradation can be annoying, but you’re thinking way more like I need one good wooden weapon, a good rock clearer, a strong metal weapon, maybe some sort of thrown bomb weapon, etc. - the stats matter, but the effects do too.

I just wish ToTK had even more diverse areas, I think there’s so much potential with the build system. Like you could have Mario Kart style races building your own vehicles and weapons (ideally playing this banger).

Imagine a big series of islands and buidling boats like Wind Waker. Or the ability to dive underwater, and build submarines to access the underwater Depths Subnautica-style.

They’re some cracking ideas! I hope we get some imaginative DLC some time soon.

For me TotK is better in almost every way, especially the combat!
